June Roesslein, founder
June Roesslein launched June Roesslein Interiors in 1976. A lifetime of experience in residential construction was the unique ‘added value’ that she brought to her interior design practice. The daughter of a home builder, Roesslein assisted her father with virtually every design-related facet of his operation including elevations, floor plans and space planning. Later, she became a superintendent and project manager for a major homebuilder and then a finish superintendent for a construction company.
Throughout her career, her sound judgment, down-to-earth approach and innate design sense has enabled her to help clients create scores of award-winning interiors in efficient, cost-effective fashion.
Among many lifetime honors, Roesslein is a former St. Louis Entrepreneur of the Year and a Most Influential Business Woman. Her company has also earned the St. Louis Small Business of the Year award. |
Barbara Slavkin, president
Barbara Slavkin is president of June Roesslein Interiors. She has been an interior designer for 19 years, specializing in custom home and residential design for private clients and display home merchandising. Her projects have been published in numerous local, regional and national trade and general interest publications.
Frequently cited as an authority on interior design trends, Slavkin is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers; a member of the international Color Marketing Group; serves on the advisory committee at St. Louis Community College-Meramec; is a founding member of the 50+ Housing Council of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater St. Louis; is a member of the HBA’s Sales and Marketing Council (SMC); and is a member of The Fashion Group International of St. Louis. She is a graduate of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind. |

Ellen Wortham, vice president, residential division
Ellen Wortham joined JRI as an interior designer in the model home merchandising division in 1995, transitioned to the residential division in 1998 and was promoted to vice president of the residential division in 2007. Ellen is expert at guiding clients through the building and selection process. She completed the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) in 2004 and is a member of the Green Building Council of the Home Builders Association of Greater St. Louis. She earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design from William Woods University.

Liz McGovern, residential interior designer and builder selection designer
Liz McGovern joined JRI in 1998 as a residential interior designer. She is versed in all facets of design – from blueprinting to accessorizing. Working on behalf of elite St. Louis home builders, Liz assists home buyers with design selections and her projects have been featured in numerous local show houses. She is a member of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design.

Mishi McCoy, residential interior designer
Mishi McCoy joined JRI in 1998 as a residential interior designer, where she specializes in new construction and home renovations. Her extensive experience in designing custom furniture, rugs and artwork are among many rare, trademark talents. Mishi’s projects have been featured in local specialty and general interest publications and in 2007, Mishi served on the judging panel in the Kansas City Parade of Homes. She is a graduate of Maryville University.

Angee Schaefer, residential interior designer
Angee Schaefer joined JRI in 1996 as an interior designer. She launched her career in the model home merchandising division and seven years later transitioned to the residential division where she is expert at new home construction and renovation. She is versed in all aspects of interior design, from project pre-planning to completion. Angee earned a degree in interior design from Missouri State University.

Anne Smith, residential interior designer
Anne Smith joined JRI as a residential interior designer in 1991, focusing on designs for new home construction and custom renovations. Anne excels at cultivating relationships with JRI clients. Her projects have been published in numerous local specialty and general interest publications and featured in local show houses and JRI house tours. Anne also volunteers her design skills to St. Louis Lydia’s House and is a graduate of University at Buffalo, Buffalo, N.Y.

Jeanne Huber, vice president, model home merchandising division
Jeanne Huber joined the model home merchandising division in 1988 and became its vice president in 2000. In that role, she coordinates design staff, model home merchandising and model home installation. Her projects have been published in local specialty and general interest publications and have appeared on local television. Jeanne is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Jeanne holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design. |
Chandra Fessler, model home merchandiser
Chandra Fessler joined JRI in 1997 as a model home merchandiser. In that capacity, she creates interior designs for display homes to expedite sales. Her projects have been featured on local television segments “Room for Improvement” and “News 4 This Morning.” Chandra is currently pursuing the Member, Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM) designation. She is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri. |
Michelle Jones, model home interior designer
Michelle Jones joined JRI in 2006 as an interior designer in the model home merchandising division. She is member of the Humane Society of Missouri. A graduate of Missouri State University, Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design. |

Haley Nottmeyer joined the model home merchandising division of JRI in 2007. Previously, Haley was a visual display assistant with Ashley Furniture Homestore. She earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Southeast Missouri State University. |

Suzanne Novack, vice president, administration
Suzanne Novack joined JRI in 1988 as office manager and transitioned to vice president of administration in 2000. Suzanne oversees the general business operations of JRI, including billing and finances for all divisions. She is a member of Jewish Women International (JWI). |
Shelia Hendrickson, design administrator/interior designer
JRI welcomed Shelia Hendrickson as a residential interior designer in 1994. Shelia focuses on residential design and coordinates order receipts, schedules and implementation. Her projects have been published in local and national specialty publications and in 1991, Shelia was named a top designer in Who’s Who in Interior Design. She has more than 19 years of design experience and earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Southeast Missouri State University. |
Connie Klinge, design assistant/librarian
Connie Klinge is a 20-year veteran of JRI, joining the firm in 1987. As a design assistant and librarian, she organizes and updates thousands of design resource books. Connie is a volunteer for the Assistance League of St. Louis. |
